India Against Corruption - The March Towards a Corruption-Free India

In tandem with the rest of the nation, Kolkata too joined in the wave of protest against corruption by holding a candle light march in the city on 8th April, 2011. There were already sit-ins happening at the crossing of Camac Street and Park Street.
The march, which pledged support to Anna Hazare’s IAC movement, was organized by Punarnabha Bangla (an initiative to work towards a new, uplifted West Bengal through social, cultural and economical and spiritual empowerment of her people) helped in adding more tempo to the crusade.
