Youth Conferences
Youth represent hope for a new tomorrow. They are the ones who can give leadership and bring about positive transformation in the world. With this perspective in mind, Punarnabha Bangla had organized several youth conferences to instigate the youth in Bengal to work on various social issues.
Youth conferences were held at:
- Kolkata (8th '& 9th Jan’11) Around 200 participants
- New Barrackpore (13th Feb’11) Around 100 participants
- Hoogly (13th Nov’10) Around 1000 participants
- Ranaghat, Nadia (11th November'10) Around 2000 participants
- Murshidabad (19th June, 2011) Around 785 participants
YLTP (Youth Leadership Training program)
A special intensive 10-day Art of Living program for leadership development amongst the youth was organized in January, 2011. The program has a unique syllabus. Through stress-reducing breathing techniques, individuals find inner peace and encourage communities to come together in a spirit of service. Participants are inspired to volunteer for rural projects, and the fruits of the seeds sown in the classroom can be experienced by the community as a whole.
YLTP programs held in the past few months in Bengal:
- Azimganj, Murshidabad (13th Jan – 21st Jan’11) 62 participants
- Raimatang, Jalpaiguri (29th Jan – 7th Feb’11) 31 participants
- Abutara, Cooch Behar (6th May – 14th May’11) 25 participants
- Mahishadal, Mednipur (21st Mar – 29th Mar’11) 55 participants
